CH Energy Group, Inc. subsidiary Central Hudson Enterprises Corporation has entered into a sale agreement with Duke Energy Renewables, a commercial business unit of Duke Energy Corporation, for the Shirley Wind Farm facility in Glenmore, Wisconsin.
The wind energy project was acquired by CH Energy Group in 2009, and commercial operation was achieved in 2010. The closing, subject to certain conditions, is expected in July 2011.

The Novus project is the first utility-scale wind project located in the Oklahoma Panhandle and is slated to total 370 MW when fully developed.
DeWind Co has announced it has acquired the rights to an initial 160 MW portion of the Novus wind project from developer Novus Windpower LLC. DeWind Co is actively moving forward to break ground by mid-2011 for the first phase of the project, currently earmarked for commercial operation in early 2012.

Statkraft has signed a new Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with DONG Naturgas A/S worth around £160m. The two-year PPA sees Statkraft purchasing 50% of the production of DONG’s Burbo Bank, Gunfleet Sands, Walney and London Array offshore wind farm projects.
With an initial installed capacity of 127MW, growing to 545MW, a total delivery of 2.7TWh is estimated during the two year contract period. This equates to approximately £160m based on the current forward price for UK electricity.

Statue Cruises has signed an agreement with Derecktor Shipyards in Bridgeport, CT to complete the world’s first Hybrid Ferry using Hydrogen fuel by April 2011.
The new 1,400-horsepower Hornblower Hybrid will run on a combination of energy generated by clean Tier 2 diesel engines, hydrogen fuel cells, solar panels and wind turbines.
