An arable farm in Derbyshire is now harnessing the wind to contribute to its energy requirements while lowering its carbon footprint using two Evance R9000 turbines. Hallmark Tractors, a distributer for Evance Wind Turbines, supplied and installed the two Evance 5kW wind turbines on 18m towers.

The latest report on UK Electricity Costs finds that onshore wind is the 'least cost, zero carbon' technology option in the near to medium term. AEI has announced the acquisition of a 47.5% interest in the Amayo I and Amayo II wind projects from Arctas Capital Group, L.P., in addition to the acquisition of a 47.5% interest in the Amayo II project from Centrans Energy Services Holdings, Inc.

EDP Renewables has broken ground on its third wind farm in Brazil, based in Tramandai, Rio Grande do Sul. The Tramandai Wind Farm has a installed capacity of 70 MW and an estimated production of 211,437 MWh per year, enough to supply a city of 200,000 inhabitants.
