SeaRoc has announced it will project-manage the supply, installation and commissioning of two lattice meteorological towers in accordance with a specification provided by Forewind – the consortium responsible for developing UK Round 3 offshore wind farm site Dogger Bank.

The Forewind consortium (RWE npower renewables, SSE, Statoil and Statkraft) have selected Natural Power’s ZephIR 300 to provide the first high-quality wind data measurements in close proximity to the Dogger Bank Zone – the largest of the UK’s Round 3 zones with the potential for up to 13GW of installed capacity. The first of various consents required for the Dogger Bank project is anticipated around late 2014.
