The 162 megawatt Colorado Green Wind Power Project is a joint venture of Iberdrola Renewables and Shell Energy. Located 20 miles south of the Town of Lamar, it was developed to help meet Colorado’s demand for renewable electricity. In August of 2010, Inox placed an initial order for 17 of American Superconductor Corporation (AMSC)’s wind turbine electrical control systems, which, as the “brains” of the wind turbine, monitor and control its operation and the flow of zero-emission electricity to the power grid. The systems are being utilized in 2 megawatt (MW) doubly-fed induction wind turbines that Inox is manufacturing under a global AMSC Windtec™ license.

Argan, Inc.'s subsidiary Gemma Power Systems, through its subsidiary Gemma Renewable Power LLC, has a signed an approximately $51 million EPC contract with Bishop Hill Energy LLC, a subsidiary of Invenergy Wind North America LLC to design and build a 200 MW wind farm in Henry County, Illinois.

The not-for-profit organisation, called LEO (Local Energy Organisation) has been created by wind farm developer Infinergy and renewable electricity supplier Green Energy UK to enable homes closest to the Vectis Wind Farm to receive a 10% discount on Green Energy UK’s renewable electricity as well as an annual £100 rebate on their bill. LEO will also provide an annual fund for community projects decided upon by residents.
