The 150-megawatt Spring Valley Wind Project will be Nevada’s first major wind project and is expected to be generating electricity by late 2011. The project would create more than 150 jobs during the construction phase and approximately 10 permanent positions.

The SBHS (Scottish Biomass Heat Scheme), unveiled by Jim Mather, Minister for Enterprise, Energy and Tourism, will give grants of up to 40 per cent of project costs, capped at £100,000. The funding is open to small and medium-sized businesses to install renewable energy heating systems.
SMEs in England and Scotland can also borrow £5,000 to £200,000 interest-free for the installation of renewable energy or energy efficient plant – such as wind turbines, Solar PV and Biomass.

The Langford Wind Power Project is a 150 megawatt (MW) wind farm 25 miles south of San Angelo, Texas.
NRG Energy, Inc. has announced it has begun commercial operations at the Langford wind farm. NRG subsidiary, Padoma Wind Power, developed the project that is capable of powering more than 100,000 Texas homes with emission-free electricity.
