ScanWind: Lake Erie freshwater offshore wind farm uses GE's wind turbine

The Lake Erie project, the first freshwater offshore wind farm in the U.S., will use GE’s next-generation wind turbine, the largest in its product line, designed specifically for offshore deployment. AEI China Power Limited has acquired 67 percent of NBT (Baicheng) New Energy Development Company, Ltd., a company formed in China that recently began construction on the 49.5MW first phase of a 200MW wind farm in Baicheng, Jilin Province, China.
