Iberdrola Renewables has announced a power purchase agreement (PPA) with a new customer, We Energies of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. We Energies will purchase 50 megawatts (MW) of clean, renewable energy from Iberdrola Renewables’ Barton Wind Power Project in operation near Kensett, Iowa.

Wind Energy America Inc. has completed the commissioning of the first of two Gamesa G-87 2.0-megawatt (MW) wind turbines which is part of its wholly owned Zachary Ridge LLC (“ZR”), located on Buffalo Ridge in Osceola County, Iowa.

West Coast Energy has announced progress on two proposed wind turbine projects. Developments at Carsington in Derbyshire and Crimp in Cornwall have been consented.
West Coast Energy's Carsington development is the first of its kind to be consented in Derbyshire. With construction planned for 2011, the project comprises four wind turbines with a maximum generation capacity of up to 10MW. The cost of the wind farm is expected to be around Ł14m.

Green Star Alternative Energy, Inc. has announced that an agreement to develop a 120 MW wind farm has been reached with Wellbury Infrastrukturberatungsgesellschaft GmbH.
A corporate structure is being created for this endeavour in a new Serbian subsidiary company, whose ownership will be maintained by both Green Star and Wellbury. The terms of the agreement include a joint 50-50 title, with complete recoupment of all expenditures by Green Star before any division of profits.
