A major wind turbine manufacturing plant is planned to be built on the north Lincolnshire coast at Killingholme near Immingham. The proposed development consists of a new quay, with associated onshore facilities to accommodate off-shore wind turbine manufacture, assembly and installation, as well as the associated supply chain factories.
