Biglow Canyon Wind Farm: Portland General Electric Company completes Biglow Canyon Wind Farm

Portland General Electric Company has announced the final phase of its Biglow Canyon Wind Farm is complete, and all 217 turbines of the project are available to generate power for PGE customers. Biglow Canyon represents PGE’s largest renewable project, with a total installed capacity of 450 megawatts. Iberdrola Renewables has announced a power purchase agreement (PPA) with a new customer, We Energies of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. We Energies will purchase 50 megawatts (MW) of clean, renewable energy from Iberdrola Renewables’ Barton Wind Power Project in operation near Kensett, Iowa. GE Energy Financial Services in partnership with Horizon Wind Energy LLC is investing $117 million in an Oklahoma wind farm.
