Natural Power has just been appointed to provide Commercial Back Office Support Services on Hall Wind Farm for renewable energy development company RidgeWind. Natural Power's ZephIR 300 – a lidar system for measuring wind speed and characteristics from ground level up to 200 metres - has been tested in LM Windpower’s wind tunnel in Denmark and successfully measured wind speeds from 5m/s to 75 m/s with an averaged difference of just 0.4% for a sustained period of time and across all measured speeds. Criterion Wind Project: Constellation Energy opens 70MW Criterion Wind Project

Constellation Energy has officially opened the 70MW Criterion Wind Project. It is the first wind facility to be built and operated in Maryland, and consists of 28 wind turbines constructed over an eight-mile stretch along Backbone Mountain in Garrett County. The 162 megawatt Colorado Green Wind Power Project is a joint venture of Iberdrola Renewables and Shell Energy. Located 20 miles south of the Town of Lamar, it was developed to help meet Colorado’s demand for renewable electricity. The Cedro Hill wind project located in Bruni, about 45 miles northeast of Laredo, Texas is Edison Mission Group (EMG)'s third wind energy project in Texas, joining the 161-MW Wildorado Wind Ranch near Amarillo and the 149-MW Goat Wind project near San Angelo. Last week Scotland’s Energy Minister Jim Mather openend Crystal Rig II. Consented on the 25th July 2005 and consisting of 60 Siemens 2.3MW turbines representing a total capacity of 138MW, the Crystal Rig wind farm is one of the largest onshore wind farms in the UK.
