GE2M: Global expenditure on renewable energy projects to double by 2020

According to a new long-term projection model from Bloomberg New Energy Finance, annual global expenditure on renewable energy projects will increase from $90 billion (USD) in 2009 to $150 billion in 2020. The model shows that this will further increase to $200 billion by 2030 given current policy targets. According to the Global Wind Energy Council’s Global Wind 2008 Report, India now ranks fifth in the world in terms of total installed wind power capacity. NaturEner USA, LLC has closed on a $117.5 million construction loan and a $120 million tax equity facility arranged by Morgan Stanley for NaturEner’s Glacier 2 wind farm outside Ethridge, Montana.
