Puget Sound Energy is constructing its 343-megawatt Lower Snake River Wind Project - Phase I, in southeast Washington’s Garfield County. Saint-Laurent Énergies is owned by two long-standing companies in the renewable energy industry: EDF Énergies Nouvelles and RES Canada Inc. In May 2008, the two companies were selected by Hydro-Québec to develop five wind farms totaling 954 MW of capacity. ACCIONA Energy's Lamèque Wind Power Project located in the Acadian Peninsula of New Brunswick, initiated by La Coopérative d’Énergie Renouvelable de Lamèque, has a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement with New Brunswick Power and is set for an early 2011 commissioning date.
