TCI Renewables appoints Consense for Consultation Management
TCI Renewables is a leading independent renewable energy business that develops, builds and operates wind projects across the UK and North America. The company has a track record in developing both merchant wind projects for major clients and also medium to large scale green field sites often in partnership with landowners.
Following a competitive tendering process, Consense has been appointed by TCI Renewables Ltd, to manage community consultation for a series of planned projects.
Consense’s role will begin prior to the scoping of each project and will support TCI through to post-submission of their applications. Work will include initial research and strategy development, managing public exhibitions, engaging with stakeholders, producing newsletters and other consultation materials, managing media relations, developing online consultations and handling enquiries.
Hazel Ide, Project Developer for TCI Renewables, says, “I was impressed with the flexibility Consense offers and the proactive approach they adopt. We look forward to working with Consense on a number of schemes, running accessible and inclusive consultation exercises that legitimately engage with the local communities we’re working in”.
Other recent wins for Consense include Partnerships for Renewables (PfR), Mainstream Renewable Power, ScottishPower Renewables and Energy Power Resources as new clients. To date Consense has helped a range of projects to run wide-reaching, successful community consultations.
