Easy ways to save on gas and electricity and go green
Under the UK government’s new Feed-in Tariff (Clean Energy Cashback) scheme consumers can now be paid for every kilowatt hour (kWh) of electricity generated from a renewable source or low carbon sources such as solar electricity (PV) panels or wind turbines. Anyone who has already installed a renewable energy system producing electricity after July 15th 2009 is now eligible to claim the tariffs as long as they produce less than 5MW of power.
With this new incentive and a huge range of energy saving products such as solar panels for houses, low energy bulbs, vacuum cleaners and universal energy saving remote controls, there are easy ways to save on gas and electricity and go green.
“It’s easy to be green. We just aren’t aware that it is. By promoting energy saving products we want our customers to know that there are options available to cut cost and save on energy,” says Harjiv Singh, Founder of Comparenbestbuy.co.uk. “Going green is not necessarily expensive. Products such as household wind turbines and solar panels are simple to use and also pay for themselves.”
